Recruiter Spotlight

Mollie, one of our recruiters from the legal department, is featured in this week’s spotlight.   We are excited to show you a different side of our team, one that you can relate to.

What is your role at Capio and when did you join the company?

I work on the legal desk as a recruitment consultant. It’s crazy to think how quickly time has passed since I joined CAPIO in January!

What do you like the most about your role and why?

Relationship-building with my candidates and the firms and companies I work with is one of my favorite things to do. It’s always a nice feeling when you can have a general chat with directors, away from recruitment.😊

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The emotional side of things for sure! I get quite emotionally attached to things so it can be a real challenge sometimes when I have made a good relationship and have to give bad news.

What would you advise someone who wants to work in recruitment?

You get out what you put in! – this is the most valuable thing I got taught at the beginning of joining CAPIO.

How do you deal with stress in general?

I don’t deal with stress too well and have tried quite a few things to relieve it, however my favorite thing when I am feeling down is to put Friends on and get into bed!

How do you deal with a difficult situation such as a drop-out or a no-show for an interview?

I take a few minutes to myself and think through what has happened. I have found from experience that it is so important to take a few minutes away from the desk to gather your thoughts.

What is your goal for 2022?

In my personal life, my goal for 2022 is to go to the gym on a regular basis and climb a mountain. My goal at work is to become a Senior Recruiter and have an element where I can train people.

Tell us a fun fact about you

I used to play tennis on a semi-professional level. I played in front of the Queen when she opened the Roehampton Tennis Academy.

What do you like doing outside of work?

Going out for food is one of my favorite things (I can only make spaghetti bolognese). I love going to live music events and seeing my favorite musicians!

Why Capio? Why do you like working here?

I had many interviews, however, after coming out of my CAPIO meeting with Joe Connolly and Joe Cowell, I called my mum and told her I had found THE job. When you know, you know😊

I love working at CAPIO for many different reasons. There is equal respect with everyone in the office, which is why we all get along so well. We have a lot of fun alongside working very hard.

Do you have any tips and tricks for candidates looking for a role in Conveyancing?

After only 11 months in recruitment, the best tip I can give to candidates looking for a position in conveyancing is, to be honest about your abilities and limitations. Although it is easy to exaggerate on your CV, honesty is the best policy if you want your dream job. 😊

What is your favorite movie and food?

I am a massive foodie so it’s difficult to pick one! I think if I was made to eat something for the rest of my life it would have to be sushi!😊

I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but my all-time favorite film must be 500 days of summer.
